Endmills and Face Mills with
Tangentially Clamped Inserts in a
Diameter Range of 8-80 mm
ISCAR’s new family of milling tools uses tangentially clamped inserts with two helical cutting edges.
The new T290 LNMT ... TR inserts, available in cutting edge lengths of 5, 10 and 15 mm, are the next evolution of ISCAR’s most popular HELIMILL inserts. Due to their tangential orientation in the pocket,
the inserts enable tool design with larger core diameters than tools
with regular, radially oriented inserts.
The inserts feature a soft and clean cut due to their helical cutting edges and positive rake angles.
They are available in the most advanced SUMO TEC carbide grades.
The tools feature high durability and outstanding tool life (due to the tangential orientation of the inserts in their pockets and higher tooth density), when compared to the current HELIMILL and HELIPLUS tools.
The T290 tools can run at higher table feeds, producing excellent surface finish and no mismatch.
ISCAR offers the following T290 tool range:
• Tools carrying T290 LNMT 05... inserts:
Endmills in diameters 8 to 16 mm
• Tools carrying T290 LNMT 10... inserts:
Endmills in diameters 20 to 40 mm
• Tools carrying T290 LNMT 15... inserts:
Face mills in diameters 40 to 80 mm
The T290 ELN endmills can be used for machining 90° shoulders
at high rates, with no mismatch and are capable of plunging as well.
All of the tools have coolant holes.
