179PRE-THREAD DRILLING WITH CHAMFERING SOLID-DRILL Cutting ConditionsThe main parameters of cutting conditions in drilling are cutting speed and feed. The value of cutting speed depends directly on the drilling depth while the value of feed directly depends on the drill diameter. The cutting conditions must be chosen in a way to save the tool from premature wear while considering maximum productivity.
